Warranty Policy

Luxottica Retail Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 26 000 025 758) provides a warranty on its products against breakages caused by material or manufacturing defects reported within 24 months of the date of purchase.

This warranty does not cover: scratches on lenses; damages caused by accident, abuse, neglect, shock, improper use or storage of the product; unauthorized modifications or repairs and normal wear and tear including loss of screws.

Gift cards are excluded.

AUSTRALIA: Please note that the benefits given to you under this express warranty are in addition to the other rights and remedies you have under the Australian consumer law and other laws. That is, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement (exchange) or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods replaced if the goods fail to be of an acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

NEW ZEALAND: Please note that the benefits given to you under this express warranty are in addition to the other rights and remedies you have under the Consumer Guarantee Act (NZ) and other applicable laws.

You can request support in the following ways:

Products purchased in store in Australia or New Zealand

Simply bring your sunglasses along with proof of purchase to a Sunglass Hut store (except a Sunglass Hut concession within Myer), "which" will be able to assist you in assessing your warranty request.

Products purchased on sunglasshut.com (Australia or New Zealand)

Returns to store

Simply bring your sunglasses to a Sunglass Hut store along with proof of purchase for a warranty assessment. Products purchased online and brought in store for a warranty exchange will be processed as a refund from the online store and then as a new sale in-store, meaning there will be a delay of the refund credit to your account. The refund can take up to 3 - 5 business days to appear in your account, this is dependent on your individual bank processing time as well as the payment method used.

Sunglasshut.com purchases may not be returned to a Sunglass Hut concession inside of Myer.

Sunglasshut.com warranty request may not be returned via mail.

Our liability in relation to you

Nothing in this Warranty Policy shall be interpreted as intended to exclude or limit Luxottica's liability in the event of (a) death or personal injury caused by Luxottica's negligence; (b) fraud, false declarations or gross negligence; or (c) any liability that cannot be limited or excluded in accordance with the applicable law.
