Manufacturing Warranty for items purchased in store & online at Sunglass Hut
Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited (CN 636829) provides a warranty on its products against breakages caused by material or manufacturing defects reported within 24 months of the date of purchase.
If your product is deemed by us to be defective within 24 months of date of purchase, we will replace the product or give you a refund at your request. Gift cards are excluded.
This warranty does not cover; scratches on lenses, damages caused by accident, abuse, neglect, shock, improper use, or storage of the product; unauthorised modifications or repairs; normal wear and tear including loss of screws. Please note this warranty is in addition to the other rights and remedies you have under the applicable laws. We reserve the right to refuse to provide a refund or replacement if the problem has, for instance, arisen because the product was misused by the customer.
The benefits given to you under this express warranty are in addition to the other rights and remedies you have under the New Zealand consumer law and other laws. The applicable consumer laws in New Zealand protect consumers by giving them certain guaranteed rights when they buy goods and services. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a substantial failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and failure does not amount to a substantial failure.

For purchases made in store, warranty claims can only be made in a Sunglass Hut Store. Simply bring your sunglasses along with proof of purchase to a Sunglass Hut store, which will be able to assist you in assessing your warranty request.
Products purchased on sunglasshut.com (New Zealand)
Returns to store:
Simply bring your sunglasses to a Sunglass Hut store along with proof of purchase for a warranty assessment. Products purchased online and brought in store for a warranty exchange will be processed as a refund from the online store and then as a new sale in-store, meaning there will be a delay of the refund credit to your account. The refund can take up to 3 - 5 business days to appear in your account, this is dependent on your individual bank processing time as well as the payment method used.

Nothing in this Warranty Policy shall be interpreted as intended to exclude or limit Luxottica's liability in the event of (a) death or personal injury caused by Luxottica's negligence; (b) fraud, false declarations or gross negligence; or (c) any liability that cannot be limited or excluded in accordance with the applicable law.
