The exchange process in store and online is a two-part process. To exchange an item in store, you will need to bring that item, original packaging and proof of purchase. The Sunglass Hut Associate will process your return in the system and your original form of payment will be refunded. You may purchase a new pair of sunglasses at that point in time, but please note that if your original form of payment was a credit card, it may take up 3 to 5 business days for your refund to be posted based on the limitations of your financial institution.
To exchange an item online, you will need to mail it back with the original packaging and proof of purchase to our Customer Care Center. If you want to speed up the process, call our customer service team and tell them you want a quick exchange. An agent can assist you with ordering your new merchandise, and will credit your account when you original return package has been received. They'll order your new merchandise and we'll credit your account when it arrives. Simple.
You can also just walk into any one of our 1900+ store locations and, provided you've got proof of purchase and your original packaging, we'll exchange it on the spot.
You can exchange a gift that was purchased online, but a full refund can only be administered to the credit card that was used to purchase the gift.
Unfortunately a Sunglass Hut gift card cannot be returned. There's no expiration date, however. So save it. Re-gift it. Or better yet, use it.
When selecting a shipping method, we always recommend you use a traceable method, like our free UPS return service, FedEx or insured mail. That way you can confirm that we got it. Your return will be processed 10-14 business days from the date we receive your package, but please allow 3-5 business days for the return package to reach our fulfillment center. We suggest recording your tracking number located on your return shipping label prior to mailing the package back to us.
You can return a PayPal® purchase the same way you return any other purchase - either in store or by mailing it back to our Customer Care Center. Get instructions for returning by mail.
You can't get a refund, but you can exchange your gift or receive store credit.
At Sunglass Hut, returns are easy. You can return online purchases in a store, or by shipping them to our Customer Care Center using our Free UPS Return Shipping. Please note that store purchases may not be returned by mail and must be returned to a store.
Sometimes things just don’t work out. And we totally understand. If you’re not thrilled with your purchase, you have 90 days from your date of purchase to return your sunglasses to Sunglass Hut.

Occasionally sunglasses break. It’s sad, but true. So if you break or damage your purchased sunglasses within 12 months of date of purchase, our Oops Coverage replacement discount is available. This replacement discount is 50% of the retail price paid at the time of purchase for the damaged sunglasses (75% replacement discount will apply for Sunglass Hut Credit Card holders) towards the purchase of the new replacement pair.
Your damaged sunglasses must be returned with proof of purchase to any Sunglass Hut retail store in the country of purchase within 12 months from the date of purchase. May not be combined with other discounts or promotions. Does not apply to loss or theft. May be used once within the one-year period following original purchase. Proof of purchase must be presented.
You have high standards, we have high standards. If your sunglasses are defective within 24 months of purchase, we’ll replace them or refund your purchase. If it is not clear whether the fault is the result of a defect or misuse, it may be necessary for the item to be returned to the manufacturer for assessment to determine if you are entitled to a replacement or refund. Proof of purchase and original packaging must be presented.
