Light Management
VISIBLE
Visible light is the portion of the light spectrum that the eye perceives as color. Excessive amounts of visible light can be irritating to unprotected eyes and can reduce visual perception.
High Energy Visible (HEV) light is light on the upper end of the visible spectrum in the violet blue band approaching ultraviolet. While some HEV light is needed for true color perception, the effects of HEV exposure, like those of UV, are believed to be cumulative and can appear later in life as macular degeneration.
