Give the Gift of Sight

Sunglass Hut cares about the world in which we live, and we do our part to help those in need. That's why we're so excited about participating in Give the Gift of Sight. Created in 1988, this family of charitable vision-care programs provides free vision care and eyewear to underprivileged individuals in North America and in developing countries around the world.

Sponsored by the Give the Gift of Sight Foundation and Luxottica Group, these programs have helped more than five million people on five continents and in hundreds of communities across North America! Check out Gift of Sight at www.givethegiftofsight.org.

How Can You Help?

Did you know wearing a pair of sunglasses can help prevent cataracts, a leading cause of blindness? But many people in developing countries can't afford a pair of sunglasses. Donating your old sunglasses to Gift of Sight is a cool and easy way to help those in need. Just drop your sunglasses or even a pair of old prescription glasses at a local Sunglass Hut next time you're shopping with us. We'll clean and repair them, then hand-deliver them to those in need around the world.

You can also help by donating to Give the Gift of Sight Foundation. Because Luxottica Group covers most Gift of Sight overhead, 93 cents of every dollar is spent directly on program activities. Make your donation today.

Getting Free Eye Care

Note: Gift of Sight recipients are referred by local agencies including Lions clubs, local schools, and more. For information, contact one of the aforementioned organizations or your local Sunglass Hut store.
