What a year, my friends, what a year indeed! An international move, amazing trips around the world, and the accumulation of a seriously epic sunglass collection are markers that will forever remind me of this whirlwind adventure.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the entire Sunglass Hut family for helping me feel so welcome and loved throughout the year. Traveling to different parts of the world and meeting some of the people who make up this great company was a true inspiration. I loved sharing stories, making videos, brainstorming ideas and getting to know you all. To say we had fun would be an understatement and I will always cherish my experiences with you.

To everyone who read and participated in the blog, who tweeted, messaged, emailed and facebooked me throughout the year, thank you for helping make this such a rewarding experience. I am thrilled you enjoyed everything I shared with you.

This year has taught me so much and I will be taking away countless new tidbits of wisdom from my experience. And it is what I wish for all of you as well: to never stop learning and moving forward. Life is so much sweeter when you absorb all it has to teach you.

Though my year of Sunglass Hut blogging may have come to an end, we can keep in touch via Twitter, my new Facebook page, and on my personal blog, Vogue Gone Rogue, which you can follow via Bloglovin’. There are some very exciting things on the horizon that I can’t wait to share with all of you.

Which of these do you wish your man would get you for Valentine’s Day?

Fashion lovers around the globe await the Chanel Couture show with baited breath. And with good reason, Chanel puts on a great show. This season is no exception. Chanel has taken a classic silhouette and made it modern with interesting details like the pocket in the photo above. Just one of the many ways Chanel succeeds in being both timeless and cutting edge.

These are some of my favorite looks from the show. I would wear any of these items with pleasure. What do you think of the collection? Have any favorites?

After seeing how many people were rockin’ Persols at the Couture shows in Paris, it made me miss my classic Persol wayfarers in brown tortoise. I wore them out the other day with my American Apparel knit sweater. The relaxed, casual fit of this chunky knit works really well with the wayfarer style of the Persols. But let’s be honest, wayfarers are so versatile, you can wear them with pretty much anything and they will seriously enhance the look of your outfit. Everyone should own a great pair of wayfarers!

The outfits people wear to fashion shows are often as interesting as the shows themselves. And of all the runway events in a year, the most ostentatious is always the Couture shows in Paris, going on now. Tommy Ton shot the street style scene there, and as always, the array of outfits is impressive to say the least.

Christian Dior’s Spring 2012 Couture collection is deliciously feminine and made me feel nostalgic for the days of the “New Look,” Dior’s signature silhouette the house became known for.

There were so many great looks I was almost tempted to share each of the 41 pieces shown on the runway, but I edited down as best I could. Dior does such a great job of presenting looks that are positively flawless from head to toe. Feminine, elegant, chic and all around well-designed.

The sheer trend is still going strong in fashion and that is no exception here. This season incorporated a ton of sheer and floaty fabrics, plus exposed collar bones and shoulders, which is always delightful in my opinion.

How much do you love Dior’s couture show? It’s a lot, am I right?

The Spring 2012 Couture shows are underway in Paris right now and with just 5 shows available for viewing it’s already promising to be an interesting season. Example? Here you go:

But the designer I’m spotlighting today is pretty much the exact opposite of the designer in the photo above. Clean lines focusing more on tailoring than frivolity, Bouchra Jarrar put together a couture collection of deliciously wearable luxe items. A welcome change in my opinion.

Bouchra Jarrar is likely not a name that most people would even think to utter when discussing the couture shows, but I love so much about the collection she’s put together. I hope you’ve enjoyed it too and will look for her in the future.

Coco Rocha is among my favorite models. Not only is she one of the fiercest posers around, she’s a total social media and fashion blogging fiend. This past September, she spoke at the Lucky Magazine Fashion Blogger conference where she told us all about how and why she got involved online. She felt there was a huge opportunity to market herself through online and social media efforts, and considering she is one of the only models to be doing so, she’s right.

Coco Rocha’s online presence is incredible. You can follow her on facebook, twitter, instagram, tumblr and various other sites. You can check out her portfolio on her personal website as well. From her modeling, to her personal style, to her online marketing efforts, Coco Rocha is a great inspiration. I hope you’ve enjoyed some of the photos I’ve posted here of her. And lastly, here’s a cute snapshot I found on her site from her trip to Venice. I love the sunglasses she has on:

Combining unlike items is a great way to add some intrigue to an outfit. Here I’m wearing a draped jacket and helmut lang tunic with a structured purse. I love the contrast of these two style elements together as it gives the look an unexpected twist.

How do you give your outfits that extra something special?
