What is OneSight?
Founded in 1988 and inspired by Sunglass Hut, OneSight is a family of charitable programs dedicated to improving the vision of people in need through outreach, research and education.
Why is it important?
More than 314 million adults and children worldwide suffer from poor vision because they don't have access to eye exams and glasses. Through OneSight, Sunglass Hut employees volunteer with doctors and other partners to bring eye care and eyewear to OneSight Global Eye Care Clinics. To date, we've helped over six million people around the world see more clearly.
OneSight also funds research and education programs, including vision preservation grants and scholarships to students pursuing degrees in Optometry.
How Can I Help?
Supporting OneSight is simple. You can make a difference just by donating your used sunglasses or prescription eyewear at a Sunglass Hut Store near you. Trained OneSight volunteers will clean and refurbish your donation and deliver it to someone in need at a OneSight Global Eye Care Clinic.
Donation boxes are located in every Sunglass Hut store. We gladly accept non-prescription sunglasses as well as women's, men's and children's prescription glasses and bi-focals.
You can also make monetary donations to the OneSight Foundation to help fund One Sight programs in your own community, in North America and around the world.
